Sales tax exemption rules final

The Iowa Department of Revenue has filed the final rules for sales and use tax exemptions related to supplies used in the manufacturing process. ABI commented on the rules in August and the department made changes based on input provided by stakeholders. The rules are intended to implement HF 2433, which was passed in March. The legislation is something ABI and Iowa manufacturers had as a priority since 2014. The final rule can be found here.
