Latest COVID-19 Vaccine News Update

January 14, 2021

On Tuesday, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced that due to a shortage of supply in COVID-19 vaccines, the agency will be narrowing the list of Iowans eligible to receive the vaccine under Phase 1B. The change comes as the rollout of vaccine deployment and administration hasn’t been as quick as previously projected for Phase 1A. The IDPH confirmed the vaccination of Phase 1B will begin on Feb. 1. The information from the IDPH regarding specifics of 1B can be found here. Late last week, the IDPH also held a webinar on vaccine strategy for business, agriculture and industry which was recorded and is available online. ABI will continue to closely monitor this topic.
