Justice Cady Commends Business Specialty Court

ABI members were highlighted in Gov. Reynolds' speech on Tuesday and Chief Justice Cady’s speech on Wednesday. Justice Cady mentioned Vermeer Manufacturing and Sukup Manufacturing Co. and the culture of continuous improvement among their organizations. Justice Cady talked about the business specialty court and the expansion of the court to allow more businesses to utilize it. With the retirement of Justice Hecht, Justice Waterman has taken over that role. The chief justice also talked about opportunities for increased efficiencies and online dispute resolution (ODR). As part of the new initiatives, Justice Cady is requesting additional funding of the judicial system. Expect there to be additional conversations about the judicial system budget as the session advances.
