Johnson County increases minimum wage

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors last week approved an increase in the minimum wage. Johnson County is the first county in Iowa to take such a step. The business community has experienced local minimum wage increases in other states, but not in Iowa. The new increase also includes an automatic escalator.
