Governor’s chief of staff leaves position

On Wednesday, Gov. Terry Branstad’s office announced Chief of Staff Matt Hinch will leave the position, effective August 7. Hinch has served in that role since October of 2013. Previously, Hinch worked in government affairs for the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and will be pursuing a future opportunity in the private sector.
