Governor reviewing legislation
May 12, 2016
Gov. Terry Branstad and his staff have been carefully reviewing legislation in the days since the end of the legislative session, April 29. The governor has 30 days to sign or veto bills received within the last three days of session, and he can also line-item veto appropriations bills. ABI priority bills passed earlier in session have already been signed, including consumable supplies/coupling legislation, and the biochemical tax credit bill. ABI will provide updates as other bills of interest to ABI members are signed.
