Gov. Reynolds Announces “This is Iowa Campaign”
June 20, 2019
On Monday June 17, Gov. Reynolds announced her “This is Iowa” campaign to draw people from around the country to our state, both as tourists and permanent residents. The stated goal is to stimulate economic growth by highlighting the wonderful opportunities available to Iowans, and will also familiarize non-Iowans with the multitude of cultural and recreational activities available across the state.
While announcing this campaign, Gov. Reynolds proclaimed, “Iowa is the best place in America to live, work and raise a family.” She went on to state, “With the entire country struggling to attract and train a quality workforce, Iowa has taken the lead in addressing this challenge holistically.” Future Ready Iowa and Iowa’s Registered Apprenticeship Program were cited in the press release.
Targeted advertising and an active social media presence under “This Is Iowa” are an essential part of the campaign. ThisIsIowa.com includes the aforementioned information on the vast amount of economic opportunities in our state and extensive lists that include travel, culture and career-oriented activities.
