Gov. Reynolds Announces Cabinet Changes and Appointments
February 28, 2019
In case you missed it, last Friday Gov. Reynolds announced changes in key positions. Former Iowa House Speaker Kraig Paulsen has assumed the role of director of revenue, which was being filled by former Deputy Director Adam Humes. Rod Roberts, director of inspections and appeals, will now serve as labor commissioner and Director Beth Townsend, Iowa Workforce Development, will continue in her role. See the full list of appointments.
The governor on Monday also released a list of appointments to boards and commissions. ABI board member Steve Dust was appointed to the Iowa Finance Authority. Other appointments of note were new names to the Property Assessment Appeals Board and the Civil Rights Commission. Just like the state agency directors, the names are subject to Senate confirmation.
