Fiscal Year 2019 Budget Hearings Begin
November 16, 2017
The Reynolds administration began department budget hearings for state fiscal year 2019 this week. The state is currently in FY18 until June 30, 2018. However, the administration and legislature will set the FY19 budget, which begins on July 1, 2018 during the 2018 legislative session. Most departments will request a status quo budget due to the continued revenue picture. The Governor will base her budget off of the numbers provided by the Revenue Estimating Conference at the December meeting. Gov. Reynolds will submit her budget and priorities to the General Assembly during her Condition of the State Address on Jan. 9, 2018. Stay tuned for more information about the budget and the 2018 legislature. In the meantime, don’t forget to register for the ABI Legislative Briefing and Reception on Jan. 10, 2018!
