Federal Spotlight: UWC Information

Late last week, UWC, an organization with expertise in unemployment and workers’ compensation issues, sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee expressing concern with Section 702 of HR 6545. The provision would impose a federal mandate on states to allow individuals to file unemployment against an employer when the reason for unemployment had nothing to do with actions of the employer. The provision would also be chargeable to employers’ accounts. For more information, click here.
