Employer Unemployment Insurance Taxes to Decrease Next Year
August 24, 2017
The Department of Workforce Development recently announced that beginning on January 1, Iowa employers can expect to see their unemployment insurance taxes decline on an average of 25 percent on 2018 wages. This is due to the strength of the unemployment insurance trust fund, unemployment contributory wages and target levels of the unemployment insurance contributory wages. ABI also supported legislation that was signed into law during the last session that will save the unemployment insurance trust fund $2 million dollars. You can read the press release here.
