Crain attends State Relations Group meeting in D.C.

September 8, 2016

Nicole Crain, ABI’s Senior Vice President, Public Policy, attended the first meeting of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) State Relations Group in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday and Wednesday. During the meeting, Crain learned about the top issues facing ABI member companies from around the country, as well as challenges facing other states. The top issue for other state associations continues to be finding and retaining a qualified workforce. Like ABI, other state organizations are working on innovative solutions to address workforce challenges in their states. Another top issue for both state associations and companies is tax policy. This group will meet next at the National Association of Manufacturers Public Affairs Meeting in April 2017.
