CDC Says Fully Vaccinated People Can Stop Wearing Masks in Most Settings

May 13, 2021

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention issued new guidance on masks on Thursday, May 13, 2021, saying that people who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask - indoors or outdoors - in most settings. The relaxed changes come as states are pushing towards more normalcy.
According to the CDC, fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or staying six feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, including local businesses and workplace guidance.

The Associated Press reports that around 154 million Americans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
