Benefits and costs of apprenticeships highlighted in new study

December 8, 2016

A new study by Case Western Reserve University and the U.S. Department of Commerce highlights the benefits and costs of apprenticeships from a business perspective. The study found that the construction industry still represents the core of American apprenticeships, but other industries are turning to apprenticeships to find skilled employees for jobs they otherwise cannot fill easily.

However, as the study states, besides their increasing popularity and proven benefits, apprenticeships are not fully understood. ABI members continue to lead the way on identifying new opportunities to ensure a qualified workforce.Click here to read the study.
