Air quality funding clears Senate

This week, the Senate passed Senate File 488 with an amendment. The amendment, which ABI’s Environment Committee has been working on and closely following, passed by voice vote. The bill as amended passed the Senate with a 41-6 vote.  

Last week, the House Ways and Means committee took up a companion bill, House File 640 (previously HSB 219), with the same amendment. Now that the bill has passed House Ways and Means and the Senate, it will need to pass the House as-is before being sent to the Governor.
