Senate debates standings, House debates human services
Members of the Iowa Legislature continued to make progress towards adjournment this week. At time of publication, the Iowa Senate is debating Senate File 510 - the standings appropriation bill for the legislature. The standings bill is the catch-all bill for both appropriation and policy issues not resolved earlier in session. The Senate will amend the bill then pass to the House for consideration next week. The Iowa House also made progress this week and passed the Health and Human Services budget on Wednesday evening. Keep reading for the status of appropriations bills.
