Iowa Workforce Development names Myron Linn as new Deputy Director

November 3, 2016

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) has hired Myron Linn as the agency’s new deputy director. Linn most recently worked at the capitol last session representing ABI members as part of the ABI public policy team and served as the ABI chair in 2014. He worked at Pella Corporation for more than 25 years in government relations and various leadership roles.

Linn helped design Iowa’s current unemployment compensation tax system, called the Benefit Ratio Array System. It has been in place since 1987. Linn currently serves as State Director for the Selective Service System in Iowa, a position he has held since 1995. Linn is also a past chair of the Iowa Taxpayers Association. He previously served on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Labor Relations Committee and the National Association of Manufacturers Health Care Committee in Washington D.C.

ABI congratulates Linn and looks forward to continuing our work with Iowa Workforce Development on critical workforce issues.
