Governor Announces Future Ready Iowa Employer Innovation Fund Awardees

13 awardees have received the Future Ready Iowa Employer Innovation Fund. This fund is a matching grant aimed at assisting employers with getting their employees postsecondary training and education. The Iowa Workforce Development estimates this grant will serve 2,665 Iowans. The funds range from $1,000 to $50,000 and can cover the expenses related to training and supplies, as well as additional support services. The support services can include childcare and transportation.
Right now, 60 percent of the state’s workforce have education and training beyond high school. The goal of Future Ready Iowa is to have 70 percent of Iowans in the workforce with education and training beyond high school by 2025. Read the news release.
