Gov. Bobby Jindal holds town hall at Fairfield plastics company

October 8, 2015

Republican presidential candidate and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal visited Agri-Industrial Plastics last week where he spoke to employees, high school students and members of the public. Jindal spoke about the American dream and growing up with immigrant parents in Louisiana. He also answered questions on everything from manufacturing to entitlement programs and foreign policy. As Agri-Industrial President and ABI Vice-Chairwoman Lori Schaefer-Weaton noted in an interview with the Burlington Hawk Eye, this was an educational opportunity for her and her employees.

The Iowa caucuses provide employers a unique opportunity to help employees become educated on important issues and where candidates stand on those issues. It’s also a chance to educate candidates on the great work taking place in Iowa every day. Candidates will likely spend more and more time in the state as Caucus day grows closer. Please let us know if you’re interested in hosting a candidate.
