October 19, 2017
Members of the Future Ready Iowa Alliance, co-chaired by Gov. Kim Reynolds and Principal CEO Dan Houston, met Tuesday, Oct. 17 to discuss and vote on final recommendations. The recommendations were divided into three areas: work-based learning, K-12 education and business community support.
Highlights of the recommendations include the Last-Dollar Scholarship and Grant Program geared toward helping Iowans seeking postsecondary credentials, expansion of work-based learning experiences in high-demand fields, and developing an asset map of existing regional and local public-private workforce partnerships.
