Federal Spotlight: U.S. appeals court blocks EPA water rule

October 15, 2015

The Sixth Circuit Court on Oct. 9, stayed the Waters of the U.S. Rule proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers. Last fall, ABI participated in a round table with members of Gov. Terry Branstad’s administration and Iowa stakeholders who would be affected by the proposed rule.

The most recent ruling by the court will delay the rule change in all states. An earlier court decision determined the rule must be stayed, but it only affected a few states, excluding Iowa. Click here to read more about the court decision.Â
