Federal Spotlight: Federal court upholds ambush elections rule

Last week, a federal court upheld a Department of Labor regulation related to union organizing elections. After the rule was released in December, several business groups, including the National Association of Manufacturers, filed a lawsuit opposed to the rule.The rule shortens the timespan from when the National Labor Relations Board approves a union’s request for a workplace organizing election to when that election is held to as little as 11 days.
