EPC approves new Title V rules, fee schedule

On Tuesday, the Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) approved new Title V rules and a fee schedule. This issue unfolded over many years and involved the stakeholder input of ABI and its dedicated members. ABI testified at the meeting stating that the rule is about fees not efficiencies. ABI also spoke to the fact that all companies will be paying more under this proposal. ABI will continue working with DNR to achieve efficiencies in the air quality bureau.

Thank you to those who put in a great deal of time and effort to ensure this was the best possible outcome for the rule package. Although not perfect, the rule, which takes effect immediately, is a step forward to helping solve funding issues with the Title V permit fee program. Fees will be implemented Jan. 15, 2016.
