2016 Presidential Watch: Contenders ramp up Iowa visits

  • U.S Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a registered Independent, will appear at a series of events from February 19 to 21. Click here to view his full schedule around the state.
  • Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will hold an event at the Muscatine Riverview Center on Saturday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m.
  • Former CEO of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina will be the keynote speaker at the Polk County Republican Women’s Enlighten Empower Engage Conference on Saturday, March 14. The conference will be held in West Des Moines and tickets are available at www.polkgop.com.
  • Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will be the guest speaker at the Good Friday Prayer Breakfast in Cedar Rapids on April 3. The location has not yet been announced.
  • Santorum, Jindal, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas will attend the Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators' "Homeschool Day" on April 9 at the Iowa Capitol.
  • The Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition has announced the lineup of speakers for its event scheduled for Saturday, April 25, at Point of Grace Church in Waukee. They include Cruz,Fiorina, Jindal, Santorum, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
  • Business leader Donald Trump will give the keynote address at the Pottawattamie County GOP's Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner on May 15.
