ATW Training Solutions Joins Weekly Business Report to Discuss Talent Development Trends

ABI member ATW Training Solutions recently released the results of its 15th annual "Iowa Trends in Talent Development Survey." ATW Training Solutions conducted the study in partnership with New Horizons Computer Learning Center, the Association for Talent Development Central Iowa chapter (ATD-CI) and the Iowa Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council.
Around 100 respondents across different Iowa industries, companies and organizations participated in the survey.
The key findings include:
- 58% of companies expect their talent development budgets to stay the same in the coming year, while nearly 39% anticipate budgets will increase.
- Iowa companies rely more heavily on classroom instruction for delivery compared to the national average, but online courses are expected to reach a new high mark.
- Talent development priorities for 2021: 1) New Employee Orientation, 2) Leadership for Emerging Leaders, 3) Coaching, 4) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and 5) Feedback - Manager to Employee, and
- 83% of companies have employees working remotely
