The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) announced the legislative voting records for the 90th General Assembly on business issues today.

As "The Voice of Iowa Business Since 1903," ABI scores legislators on how they vote on key bills and amendments impacting Iowa’s business climate. Key votes are based on ABI’s legislative priorities and policies established by the association’s members.

“We want to thank and recognize the 37 State Representatives and 24 Senators who voted with Iowa business at least 90% of the time during the 90th General Assembly,” said Mike Ralston, ABI President. “By working with ABI’s member employers these legislators distinguished themselves for their shared vision of economic growth and a sound business climate.”

Highlights from the voting records include legislators’ stances on various efforts that expanded and developed skills for the workforce, ended runaway jury verdicts in medical malpractice lawsuits, and modernized and reorganized the functions of state government for the first time in over 40 years.

The full voting records for all Iowa House and Senate members are available by visiting the IAVotes website at: https://iavotes.com/vote-records and selecting “90th General Assembly Key Votes”.

IAVotes is sponsored by Economic Progress for Iowa's Citizens (EPIC), a not-for-profit entity founded in 1991 by businesses and statewide business associations including ABI.
