Send your interns to Leadership Iowa University

Across industries, finding qualified, hardworking employees is difficult. Attracting top talent and finding ways to retain that talent is critical.

What better way to demonstrate your investment in young, potential employees than by sending them to leadership Iowa University (LIU)?

The Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation created the LIU program for college students eight years ago. It is modeled after the successful and highly revered leadership Iowa program.

Several companies, including Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. and Principal, identify a handful of top interns to send to the program each year. It is a way to show a company’s dedication to the intern’s development while allowing the business to cultivate future leaders.

Throughout the three-session program, leadership Iowa university students gain a better understanding of the various opportunities to grow and succeed in Iowa. In addition to enhancing their personal and professional teamwork and leadership skills, students have the opportunity to network with Iowa leaders from across industries and across the state who will challenge their way of thinking and provide them a strong network of professional contacts.
