Counting on the ABI Foundation

November 11, 2022 | Showing Gratitude in Business Jessi McQuerrey, Director of Programs, ABI Foundation, jmcquerrey@iowaabi.org

October began another new “year” for the ABI Foundation. In this season of gratitude and reflection, we’re not only looking back in thanks for an incredible 40th anniversary year – but we’re also looking forward to the next 12 months of connecting, educating, and inspiring more Iowans to create a better future for our state.

The ABI Foundation’s impact spans across the state and reaches a variety of Iowans, from high school students to seasoned professionals. This year, the three ABI Foundation programs alone reached: 111 program participants, 50 different high schools and colleges, and 70 communities in 42 counties.

While these numbers showcase just a few of the tangible results of the ABI Foundation programs, the ripple effect caused by these individuals and their experiences is far greater.

We’d also like to thank the 350+ volunteers and 129 sponsors who made these programs possible. We’re especially grateful to the sponsors and donors who contributed toward $27,425 in financial assistance for participants, resulting in many of our participants gaining the opportunity to attend one of our programs at a significantly reduced or no cost.

Together, we’re building upon our strong foundation for tomorrow’s success. Join us in reaching Iowans across the state with these opportunities by nominating students and community leaders to participate at BusinessHorizonsIowa.com, LeadershipIowaUniversity.com, or LeadershipIowa.com and clicking the "Nominate" link. Your  encouragement could mean all the difference.
