Hundreds of business leaders from around Iowa and the Midwest will travel to Dubuque, June 14-16, for the Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) annual Taking Care of Business Conference, Iowa’s premiere statewide business conference. The conference features world-class speakers and delivers relevant and impactful educational opportunities, along with opportunities to network with more than 500 executives with decision-making authority.

“No other event in Iowa attracts as many decision-makers looking to learn and network,” said ABI Board Chairman Jack Hasken, owner of Jackson Manufacturing, said. “We are proud to bring the Taking Care of Business Conference back to my hometown of Dubuque.”

The conference will take place at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, which overlooks the Mississippi River. Attendees will also have the chance to take advantage of regional gems, including 7 Hills Brewing Co., Stone Cliff Winery, Diamond Jo Casino, Millwork Ballroom, and Dubuque Golf & Country Club.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds will continue a decades-long tradition of Iowa governors by addressing attendees at the Conference on the final day of the conference, Thursday, June 16. Other main stage speakers include Sheryl Connelly, Chief Futurist at Ford Motor Company, Clay Holderman, President and CEO of Unity Point Health, and Scott Kubie, Senior Investment Strategist at Carson Group Partners.

The conference will also feature workshops from Iowa business experts on workforce and supply chain challenges, embracing a new normal in the workplace, and marketing your organization through video storytelling.

“It is a very dynamic lineup of content this year. From the speakers to the workshops, we have made sure these are topics that people are talking about - the kinds of things that help people come away from this conference with things that are actionable,” said Brett Burkhart, Conference Committee Chair. “Every year it’s a bit of discovery and a ton of fun.”
