Nuzum joins ABI Foundation as Development Director

The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) and ABI Foundation are pleased to announce that Amanda Nuzum has joined the ABI Foundation as Development Director.
Nuzum is responsible for fundraising and relationship management– including operational support, sponsorships, scholarships, annual appeal, endowment and planned giving – for ABI Foundation programs, which include Leadership Iowa, Leadership Iowa University and Business Horizons, as well as other associated events.
Nuzum has 12 years of experience in nonprofit development and leadership. She most recently worked in Planned Giving at Easter Seals Iowa, raising close to $4M for the organization in planned giving commitments while increasing mission awareness throughout the community and securing individual and major donor gifts.
“Amanda brings high energy and a personable style to the ABI Foundation,” ABI President Mike Ralston said. “Her experience in all areas of development made Amanda stand out among a group of excellent candidates.”
“Amanda’s level of expertise will help us enhance our programming and further our mission of preparing Iowa’s workforce and create leaders with an expanded knowledge of opportunities in Iowa and enhanced personal leadership skills,” ABI Foundation Director Kay Neumann-Thomas said.
Nuzum is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Central College. Prior to joining Easter Seals Iowa she raised funds and awareness through individual and corporate giving, event management, development writing, annual giving campaigns and major gifts for The American Cancer Society, the ISU Foundation and The Young Women’s Resource Center.
